Introduction to Shamanic Journeying Class

What is Shamanic Journeying?

Shamanic journeying is the act of connecting to your intuition and to your spirit guides. There are many ways to do this. In this class, we will use a drum to access a theta brainwave state. The theta state of consciousness is a “dream-like” state where one has access to higher realms of intuition.

Journeying allows us to more intuitively navigate the energy around us. To step out of our “real world” and into “otherworld”. Here, we can speak with our spirit guides, ask questions, learn from them and get healing from them. It is also a space to rejoice and show gratitude for our connection to our helping spirits.

What you will need to bring

In this class, we will explore your unique sensing gifts, so the most important thing to bring is an open mind. You will also need a journal and something to write with. I will have some extra rattles and drums, but if you have any noise-makers, please bring them. Also bring a small sacred item to put on our alter. This can be anything you choose. It is placed on our alter in order to anchor you in our space while you are learning to journey. Wear comfortable clothing and bring your yoga mat and an eye mask if you have one. You may also want your water bottle.

What will be provided

The studio provides blankets and bolsters. I will provided extra noise-makers. There will also be a few light snacks to help keep us grounded during the practice.
